Boyfriend Jeans!

No, I'm not talking about my boyfriend's jeans.

Avery Boyfriend Fit Bleach Wash Jeans

I'm talking about these lovely trousers from boohoo.com (A online fashion website which has amazing clothes - you should definitely check it out). I ordered these recently, and I was nervous as they are a bit out of my comfort zone. I usually only go for the skinny trouser option, so it was a minor risk getting this. But on arrival, I felt absolutely in love! The baggy effect actually suits me, and I love the rolled up ankles. The jeans go really well with baggy and tight tops, and they are extremely comfortable. I love the bleached effect, and I have worn them so much since I bought them.

I really recommend trying these trousers out, and definitely checking out boohoo!
They are currently £18 - £7 off!

Have you got any new clothing recently?

My Favourite Programs!

At the moment I have quite a large number of TV shows that I watch - both on TV and online. I want to share them with you, so you can recommend your favourite shows and maybe discover some new ones! Most of these might be British TV shows, so if you don't know them you can always search online. Enjoy...

1. The Tomorrow People

There is a new species of human, called the 'Tomorrow People', who have the powers of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathy. There is a company called Ultra who are trying to get rid of their race, and take away their powers. The main character (Steven) is forced to join the enemy, in order to save his people. A very gripping series, which always keeps me on edge - and the actors aren't too bad looking!

2. Death in Paradise

A program about a crime investigation unit on the Carribbean island of San Marie.  Their styles of investigating are quite old school, as they don't have all these fancy gadgets, and this gives it a fresh, new vibe. It is a quite light-hearted program, and funny as well. Even though it is not all that intense - it certainly keeps me guessing!

3. Mock the Week

If you haven't seen this program, and love a good laugh, you are seriously missing out. Two panels of three comedians each discuss all things to do with the news, and perform little skits relating to different stories on the news. As said in the title, they 'Mock the Week'! It is absolutely hilarious, and always keeps me smiling. And for me, someone who doesn't keep updated on the news, it teaches me a bit too!

4. Keeping up with the Kardashians

A show about the Kardashian and Jenner family, and their daily activities. Living in America, they get up to all kinds of mischief - which is quite funny actually. You get attached to each of the family members, and what they do. If you haven't heard of the Kardashians before... Well they are in the press a lot, and under the public eye. Anyway completely recommend it for some light-hearted TV!

5. CSI/Criminal Minds

Another, more intense crime investigation program. Each hour long episode has 1-3 murder cases, depending on the intensity of them. Each case is very intriguing, and full of some gore (so don't watch if you are squeamish!). You get attached to each of the characters, and with each series comes more excitement. Would recommend it for any murder mystery fans!

What are your favourite TV shows?

Food Glorious Food! | 2014 Blogger Challenge

I'm so excited that today's #2014BloggerChallenge post is all about FOOD!

I was tempted to do a recipe post, but instead I thought I'd do some research into the best foods for you. And as I found out, these are called 'SuperFoods'. These foods have specific qualities that make them really good for you, and beneficial. And they can be found in your local supermarket! (Each website had a slightly different list of superfoods - But nevertheless, they must all be good for you!)

1. Avocado

Avocados contain many nutrients; they are high in fibre, potassium, vitamin E and magnesium. They are also high in healthy monounsaturated fat and contain a rich source of gluthathione - a powerful antioxidant that can block over 30 different carcinogens (a substance that can cause cancer). Lastly, it can help banish wrinkles!

2. Garlic

Garlic tops the National Cancer Institute's list as a potential cancer-preventive food. It is a powerful antioxident and anti-inflammatory food, and it protects you against heart disease, reduces bloods pressure and lowers cholesterol levels. It also contains vitamins C and B6, manganese and selenium. Although it may leave you with bad breath, its a small price to pay for staying healthy!

3. Blueberries

Blueberries are an antioxidant and they are said to help with memory loss. They also contain anyhocyanosides which are beneficial in the prevention of all types of cancer. They also have anti-inflammatory characteristics and help prevent contagious bacteria from entering the walls of the bowel. Pretty impressive stuff!

4. Acai Berries

This exotic berry from the Amazon was named one of the greatest foods in the world. They are packed full of antioxidants which can help fight premature ageing . They also contain amino acids and essential fatty acids, to help cardiovascular and digestive health. I've never tried an acai berry, any opinions on taste? They are certainly very good for you!

5. Goji Berries

Goji berries, also known as wolf errors, are a Himalayan fruit contains all 18 amino acids, as well as huge amounts of vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and vitamin E. They are packed with more iron than steak and spinach, and more beta carotene and vitamin C than carrots and oranges! You don't need to know science too well to know that that is a lot of goodness in one berry.

I definitely learnt something from all this research, and I hope you learnt something too! And maybe this wil encourage you guys to try some of these Superfoods! Leave your links below, and I'll talk to you soon!

The Shaytards!

Have you heard of the Shaytards?

The Shaytards are a family who live in California with five kids (new-born not shown in photo). The parents are ShayCarl and Katilette, and the children are Gavin, Avia, Emmi, Brock and Daxon (the new baby-boy). They are no ordinary family though - they have been daily vlogging for 5 years since 5th March 2014. Now if you're not familiar with Youtube, posting a video every day (including editing) is quite a feat!

It is truly amazing to watch the kids grow up, and follow them on their many adventures. Each child has a different nickname - Gavin is Sontard, Avia is Princesstard, Emmi is Babytard, Brock is Rocktard and Daxon is Brotard. They started off with these nicknames, as Shay didn't want to reveal his children's names. But their career grew so big, and we got to know the kids so well, eventually found out! And it follows their family name - The Shaytards.

It is so exciting to know that a video will definitely be up each day, and it really wakes me up in the morning! Sadly they've stopped daily vlogging now, on their 5th Vlogging Anniversary, but they still have all their vlogs up. As you get to know the family, you treasure every moment, and love watching a normal day!

I really recommend you watch them, and absorb yourselves in their lifes. They have so many videos, and so many memories to share with you. They're inspirational, and definitely my favourite family of YouTubers! Add them to your subscription box!

Have an amazing week!

Stump Riddles!

Recently I downloaded an app called Stump Riddles. For me, a complete riddle LOVER, this is my dream app.

You have 140 levels, each one with a different riddle. You have to solve these riddles by inserting the correct letters given in the section below. The challenge is to not only complete the riddles, but do as many levels as possible! It saves your progress, so you can go away and have a think if you need!

(believe me, they get a lot harder than this!)

If you have enough coins (earned from completing levels) you can reveal a letter, remove a letter or skip the stage. But that's only if you can't get the riddle. It can get irritating not passing a level, but that's part of the fun. It's an amazing challenge, and good to work that brain. I love having something to work on, and getting all your friends involved to help. It can also make a good icebreaker!

It's a completely free app, so if you love riddles I definitely recommend this. There is a range of easy and hard riddles to keep you on your toes.

Have a lovely weekend, and here's a little riddle to end on;

You went to the forest and got me.
You sat down to seek me.
You couldn't find me, so you took me home with you.
What am I?

(I found this one particularly hard, so comment if you get it!)

P.S. I'm going to try and make my posts all about this length - short and sweet. This means I can post more regularly, and give you guys more blogging joy!

Hi lovelies!

Today I'm going to do my Favourite Nail Polishes post for the #2014BloggerChallenge !

I love this colour for going out, and the winters and autumns. It's my go to polish!

(The picture doesn't show the colour well - it is more a darker purple!)

This polish has quite thin coverage, but with 2 or more coats, it's gorgeous!

These are not really favourites, but the only polishes I have! They have done me well so far, but I'm looking for some better quality ones! Any recommendations?
