Breathtaking Bird's-Eye Views

I have always loved photography, and coming across these stunning bird's-eye views was a real treat. They are mesmerising, and really feed my interest. I hope some day I can take photos as beautiful as these.

Yuanyang, Yunnan, China
- Boaz Rottem

Central Park, New York, USA
- Keith Sherwood

Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, Singapore
- William Cho

Zurich, Switzerland
- Sandro Bisaro

Tokyo, Japan
- Ben Torode

I'm not familiar with any of these photographers, which makes them even more inspiring. Just to know that anyone can be an amazing photographer, and taking breathtaking photos is really motivating.

Have you taken any amazing photos?

My Favourite Hair Product | 2014BloggerChallenge

I'm not going to be talking about a shampoo or conditioner, or any other product you apply to your hair actually. I'm going to be talking about the basic element of hair, the thing that is probably the most important.

The HairBrush.

This is the Mega-Phine Taming brush from Kent Brushes.
It is truly a miracle. It is ideal for shoulder length & long hair, as it tackles knots with ease. It is comfortable to hold, and the large Paddle brush style ensures that you can access all areas of your hair. The head is air-cushioned, so your scalp is always protected from vigorous brushing. It made from natural beech wood, and it has lasted me for years! I always go back to Kent Brushes for my new hairbrush.

I really recommend it if you're looking for a new hairbrush, as this is will be a very beneficial investment.

What is your favourite hair product?

P.S. This wasn't a sponsored post - I just really love their hairbrushes!

Vladimir Kush | Surrealist Art

Vladimir Kush is a Russian born surrealist painter and sculptor. I only found out about him recently, as for GSCE art I am studying Surrealism.

Surrealism is 20th century movement in art and literature, which sought to explore the create potential of the unconscious mind, by creating dream-like images and juxtaposing objects. It is a movement that interests me a lot, hence I am doing this post on a Surrealist artist. I hope to do more posts on artists and movements, as it is something I am very interested in at the moment, and would love to share with you.

Instead of talking about Kush in detail, and describing his techniques, I thought showing you his work would have a far greater impact.

Recurring motifs in his work include fruit, butterflies and the idea of combining two completely different elements. His work is not only fascinating and beautifully elaborate, but it really makes the viewer think about what they are looking at. You really look at each piece, and decipher the elements Kush has so skilfully put together.

He is a true inspiration, and his work has helped me a lot with my GCSE art sketchbook.

Have you got an art inspiration?

For a start - if you haven't heard of this game, where have you been?

2048 is a game app where you merge the number tiles together to (eventually) get the number 2048. Only the same number tiles can be merged, and they get added together to create a new number. As well as aiming for the 2048 tile, you also get a score which increases every time you add two tiles together. My high score is 16252, let's see if you can beat it! I personally have never got 2048, but I'm working on it.

This game is extremely addictive, and there hasn't been a day that I haven't played it. And it does kind of help with your powers of 2?!

2048 is free off the app store, so I recommend all of you go get it.
But prepare for the addiction!

What are your favourite apps at the moment?

P.S. Sorry I haven't posted for 5 days, I have been on a Geography Field Trip in France!

My Top 6 Favourite Songs | 2014 Blogger Challenge

It is no secret that I LOVE music, so for this #2014BloggerChallenge post I thought it would be very appropriate to tell you which songs are at the top of my list!

1. Air Balloon by Lily Allen
Currently my favourite song, this tune is up-beat and very catchy.

2. Why'd You Only Call Me When Your High by The Arctic Monkeys
A less up-beat tune, but with great rhythm and a completely different style from what I usually like! I am loving the Arctic Monkeys, as their style of music is new and exciting for me!

3. All of Me by John Legend
A quite popular song, with emotional, meaningful lyrics and a lovely piano accompaniment. And the music video is stunning!

4. Best Day of My Life by American Authors
An up-beat, feel good song that makes me feel happy every morning!

5. Lightning Bolt by Jake Bugg
This song is catchy and different, making me love it a lot!

6. Skyway Avenue (Acoustic) by We the Kings
Last but not least, this guitar-accompanied tune has a good beat and catchy lyrics, and it is perfect for a bright summers day.
