Some Positives of School

After my recent Blogger's Block, my ideas for blog posts just seem to be rolling. So he's another, slightly strange one.

Positives of school I hear you say? Well listen up.

1) Stationary
Who doesn't love stocking up on new pens, pencils and notebooks? This must be the favourite part of going back to school, as it gives me an excuse to go crazy in WHSmiths.

2) Back to Routine
This might just be me, but I like having something to do during the day. Not that I love Summer Lazy Days, but a change is nice once in a while.

3) Seeing Friends
I miss all my friends so much during the holidays, so school is the perfect time for a reunion.

4) Earlier you start, earlier you finish!
Quite self-explanatory, but it's true! Start school positive, and you'll finish in no time.

5) Get Organised!
Leading on from stationary, I always find school a perfect reason to get organised. For school, and just life in general.

And do note that none of these points including actually learning things.

What do you like about school? (Tough question today I know)

How To Make Your Room More Interesting | 2014 Blogger Challenge

For this week's 2014 Blogger Challenge, I'm going to give you some easy ways to make your room that extra bit more special.

1) Buy furniture of a similar theme
If it's a colour or design, try and make your furniture match. This helps your room feel more 'as one', and makes it even more exciting buying things for it!

2) Be creative
I don't know about you, but I love seeing people's rooms who've designed mason jars or have candles around their room, as it really adds to the atmosphere. So get creative and make some cool DIY pieces for your room. You could design a frame, make some hanging signs or paint a cool design on your wall!

3) Put up some photos
Putting some of your memories in a collage for your room can really make it not only interesting, but extremely personal. Put photos of friends & family on your wall to look at when you're in your room! In my room, I have some of my instagram photos in polaroid form from one of my good friends! (my instagram is sianmathur).

4) Keep Your Room Tidy
I know this may not seem related, but keeping your room tidy means that you can appreciate all the beautiful things you've designed it with! I assure you that it will make your room more attractive and impressive to other people.

5) Get Organised!
Arrange all your bits & bobs in certain places, so you know where they are - and your friends will be impressed! If you're more organised, then you can spend more time making your room more interesting!

Do you like designing your room?

The British Tag

Inspired by AnotherGirlyBlg, today I'm going to do the British Tag. I thought doing a tag will get me back into the routine of doing regular blog posts - so here goes.

1) How many cups of tea do you have a day and how many sugars?
I know this may come as a shock to some, but I'm not a fan of tea so the answer to that are none.

2) Favourite part of your roast?
Roast potatoes are a god send, but you've got to love some juicy roast chicken.

3) Favourite dunking biscuit?
A plain digestive biscuit in hot chocolate. Don't have to say anything else.

4) Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
Don't know if this counts as a pastime, but I love eating scones. Scones, clotted cream and jam are just perfection.

5) Favourite word?
Phlegm. Don't ask why.

6) Cockney rhyming slang?
Two words that somehow through rhyme mean another? And that is all I know.

7) Favourite sweet/chocolate?
Favourite sweet has to be Maoams, and chocolate the classic dairy milk.

8) What would your pub be called?
Cats and Dogs. No idea why.

9) No.1 British Person
Baby George is probably the cutest being I've seen.

10) Favourite shop/restaurant
Love a good Nandos, and Urban Outfitters is lovely.

11) What British song pops into your head?
One Direction... Just them in general. That counts.

12) Marmite?
Do love a good bit of marmite, but in small doses.

Have you done the British Tag?
I tag anyone who wants to, to do this tag!

New Beginnings | 2014BloggerChallenge

For today's #2014BloggerChallenge, I thought I'd keep it simple with some good old-fashioned advice on New Beginnings.

We all have points in our lives where we have to start afresh. Whether this is at a new school or work, or just a new attitude or routine.  Change is inevitable, and it's important to embrace the new beginnings. Don't let previous problems bring you down, take each day as it comes and learn from the bad days.

Live life to the full, and take new opportunities as they come.

And maybe if you're going through something tough in your life, maybe it's time to have a New Beginning - turn over a new leaf.

Have you had a new beginning?

Blogger's Block

You haven't heard from me in a while, and I'm so sorry about that! But recently, I've been suffering from what I like to call a Blogger's Block.

Before I went on holiday, I had a few days where I wrote down every possible idea for a blog post, and scheduled them according to when I'm on holiday. This was a mega-organised time for me, writing almost 5 blog posts per day! The ideas just seemed to be coming, and I was just going with them when they came.

So while enjoying the sun, sea and sand I let these posts automatically 'post themselves', and you guys all seemed to enjoy them. It was so easy for me, and I completely forgot the worries of having to write & post myself regularly.

I guess when I came back, it was a shock to the system. I had a few ideas lurking in the back of my mind, but not enough to last me too long. I got caught up in seeing my friends, and enjoying London in the sun, that I forgot about my blog. And now, as school is starting, I'm starting to remember posting as one of the important things on my to-do list.

I'm very sorry about that, and I'm trying my hardest to squeeze a few ideas out. So after this long excuse, I'll be back to posting as normal. If you guys have any ideas for posts I could do, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Have you ever got a Blogger's block?
